Hidden gems in Destin Florida.
Want to eat & drink like a local? Find the hidden gems the tourists don’t know about? Explore the best that Destin FL has to offer?
Well you came to the right place.
Lets dive right in to the gems hidden across the beautiful coast of Destin and beyond.
Let’s start with breakfast, after all it is the most import meal of the day right? Hidden in Rosemary Beach just before 30A is a hidden gem called Big Bad Breakfast. Let me tell you, the service is as good as the deep fried Bourbon French Toast. If you are a fan of biscuits, bacon or breakfast in general you will want to add this to your to do list.
Since you’re already in the neighborhood the next best stop is the Farmers Market at Rosemary Beach. Located right by 30A the drive is worth it alone, so take a pit stop before you soak up the views and grab some goodies from my favorite vendors!
Pam’s Tasty Toffee is the best toffee you will taste on the coast (okay maybe anywhere, and I have it on good word she ships!)
Chances are you will want seafood at some point on the coast, and there is no better Crab cakes than the ones from The Crab Man Himself. These jumbo lump crab cakes have an amazing flavor & sell out every week. Give him a call to reserve yours ahead of time.
if you want some gluten free/vegan biscuits that are flakey and full of flavor stop by breezy’s biscuits! These won’t disappoint and can be purchased frozen or fresh!

After you have taken in the beautiful scenic drive along 30A stop at my favorite hidden gem Eden Garden State Park. This beautiful location is full of history and has been well kept for many years. The park runs on donations and is perfect for an afternoon stroll.

Now to take you to the other side of Destin is the Gulfarium Marien Park. You (and the dolphins) will flip at all of the amazing exhibits and shows that they have to offer. Soon to be expanding this beautiful park is situated right on the beach and home to many marine animals. They have an open view to their quarantine and hospital, and seem to truly love the animals they are housing.
